Since 1991, Mattioli Engineering has set the standard for the microdermabrasion market worldwide.  As a company founded by experienced medical device and cosmetic science professionals, Mattioli Engineering understands the needs of doctors and estheticians.  The Ultrapeel® system features several patented components including: Closed delivery kit (allows for fewer clogs and a higher degree of sterilization)a one-way flow of micro-crystals, disposable tips and gamma ray sterilized corundum powder. Ultrapeel® is a non-surgical, non-invasive system that offers safe and controlled skin abrasion with no risk of contamination.

Benefits

Patented Delivery Kit System

  • With Mattioli’s unique pre-filled, disposable bottles there is no need to handle loose corundum powder. This makes the machine more convenient to use.
  • During the procedure, the used crystals are vacuumed into a disposable, sealed container. This is fundamental for the safety of the operator and the client; it ensures that the crystal is never used for more than one procedure, greatly reduces the time and handling involved in machine clean up, and ensures that the operator does not come in contact with contaminated, used crystal.
  • Power and microdermabrasion efficiency are strictly correlated. Optimizing the bottles’ dimensions is essential to a microdermabrader and it allows the operator to get the maximum power for the maximum abrasion efficiency.
  • Mattioli Engineering’s internationally patented 45 degree handpieces allow the corundum powder to contact tissue with the most effective combination of contact angle, quantity of powder and vacuum strength. The 45 degree tips are also disposable and individually packaged, allowing for sterilization. They are designed to be changed after each procedure, ensuring the most sterile treatment and the highest level of patient care.

One Way Flow of Crystals

Other microdermabrasion systems require the micro-crystals to reverse flow within the delivery system, generally during clean up. As a result of the Ultrapeel® Microdermabrasion Systems’ disposable delivery kit and closed-loop vacuum circuit, micro-crystals only flow in one direction and are collected into a sealed, disposable bottle.

Gamma-Ray Sterilized Corundum Powder

Corundum is one of the strongest and most abrasive minerals in the world. The medical-grade corundum powder used with Ultrapeel® Systems is an inert, biocompatible compound—consisting primarily of Corundum and Alluvium Oxide—that is gamma ray sterilized for the highest level of purity and quality.

Crystal or Crystal-Free Options

The Company

The Microdermabrasion system was designed by Mattioli Engineering of Florence, Italy. Based on innovative design and invaluable experience gained over 20 years, the system can offer therapy to achieve smooth, glowing skin for everyone.

The Ultrapeel Mattioli Engineering systems are available in the following areas: Europe, Canada, Mexico, South America, South Africa, Middle East most of the Far East and the USA. Saratoga Aesthetics is the leading distributor for Mattioli in the USA.

New exciting technology in skin resurfacing produces unsurpassed results for the medical and esthetic professional. Ultrapeel is a non-surgical, non-invasive system that offers safe and controlled skin abrasion with no risk of contamination.

These innovative dermabraders utilize inert microcrystals which are propelled at high speed across the skins surface to abrade the skins tissues, and the resulting debris is vacuumed into a waste bottle which is disposed of. This technique is very quick and comfortable. The results are immediately seen with high levels of patient satisfaction. There is no "downtime" and this procedure can be used as an alternative treatment to chemical peels, as there are very few contraindications or side effects.

The Ultrapeel systems are covered by the International Patent #US 5.180.842 and were FDA cleared in December, 1996. They also are CE marked.
